Bay Area Deaf Film Festival

The Bay Area Deaf Film Festival screens short and feature-length films by Deaf directors, writers, and producers from around the world. Held over two days at a San Francisco theater, the festival includes audience Q&As with filmmakers in ASL, panel discussions on Deaf representation in media, and a short-film competition judged by industry professionals. All screenings include open captions and ASL-interpreted introductions. The festival also hosts a student category encouraging young Deaf creators. Tickets include access to all screenings and an opening-night reception.
